On The Hill
Number of children: 12
Age : 4 - 6(7) years
Main guides: Vendy, Kačka, Adam
Attendance: full-day
In this class you will find older kindergarten children and preschoolers. We consider it important for children to meet in free play and in various activities or projects across ages, thus supporting natural empathy, ability to help one another and learning through observation and imitation.
In the morning, the children have the first block of supervised activities together, which is divided into two parts. The first of them is the educational part (communicative circle, exercises, factual information, etc.) and in the second part we are dedicated to craft activities that develop fine motor skills. In addition, there are regular English lessons through play, which are part of the morning program on certain days.
The afternoon part of supervised activities for preschool children is different from the others. In preschool preparation, children work in homogeneous groups so that we can offer them the same level of education. Children have a shorter break than younger children, during which literature appropriate to the children's age is read, and then we focus on preschool preparation. In preschool preparation, children work in small and larger groups.
At the preschool, we work according to weekly thematic plans that correspond to the Framework Educational Program and the School Educational Program.
Children regularly visit theaters, exhibitions, workshops... During the school year, we organize several sports courses that depend on the season—swimming, ice skating, climbing and skiing.
There is also the opportunity totake part in a week-long trip outside the kindergarten, usually to the mountains or elsewhere in nature, which is held annually in May/June, and a week-long skiing course, which takes place in January.
We strive to ensure that all children know all the teachers (morning walks, activities outside the kindergarten, spending time together in the garden, etc.). Each teacher can offer something new to a given group, which is why we are happy when our guides occasionally switch places and visit another class as part of both the structured and free programs.
Little Hill Class
Number of children: 12
Age : 3 - 5 years
Main guides: Martina, Johanka
Attendance: half day/full-day
In the classroom, guided activities take place in the morning, corresponding to weekly thematic blocks. Activities are selected to develop the skills and abilities of children of a given age.
It is important for us that children work in heterogeneous groups during guided activities; we encourage natural empathy, helping others, and learning by imitation.
Children visit theaters, go on trips, take care of animals on the farm, ride horses and take longer trips into nature.
